His adaptation of 1984 opened at the end of February 2010 at the Royal Exchange in Manchester.
The world premiere of Matthew's play YOU CAN SEE THE HILLS opened at the Royal Exchange, Manchester in 2008. An excellent run followed at the Young Vic in Autumn 2008 which was extended till May 2009.
