The origins of my writing career began whilst serving a two years prison sentence in Winchester prison in 1989.
In 1999 ‘Drummers’ was produced by Out Of Joint and directed by Max Stafford Clark. ‘Drummers’ began at the Edinburgh festival before touring the country, which took in a two week run at The Ambassadors in the West end.
My second play ‘Burn’ was produced by Synergy Theatre Project.
It toured various prisons around London before settling at The Southwark Playhouse for a two week run.
In 2007 I was short listed for the Verity Bargate award at the Soho theatre, with a play called ‘Zimbabwe’ which recently had a reading.
I am currently writing a two man play to tour London prisons at the end of April. I am also developing: a TV series, a novel and two plays, one about people living in blocks called ‘Block Nine’, the other about con men and women in Thailand, called ‘Butterfly forang’
I occasionally run writing workshops in adult and young offenders institutions.
