v Ali Muriel’s short film FURNACE FOUR had screenings at the Edinburgh Film Festival as part of the UKFC Completion Shorts
v Simon Nye’s adaptation of REGGIE PERRIN has received excellent viewing figures throughout its first series, broadcast on BBC1, series two has now been commissioned
v Stephen Prentice created the Brit teen horror screenplay TORMENTED which went on general release nationwide in May 2009
v Written and directed by Philip Ridley; the release of HEARTLESS is being eagerly anticipated for late 2009
v SEX, DRUGS & ROCK ‘N’ ROLL has been shooting in various locations across the country, due for release later this year; the film based on Ian Durey was written by Paul Viragh and directed by Matt Whitecross

v BAD JAZZ by Robert Farquhar had its Australian premiere in August the Darlinghurst Theatre Company, Sydney
v SKULL IN CONNEMARA by Martin McDonagh was shown at the Riverside studios in a production by Love and Madness
v Dominic Mitchell’s POTENTIALS premiered at the Tristan Bates Theatre in May after winning the Papatango new writing competition and was given 4 *’s by Whatsonstage.com. His short play FANG CLUB for Oval House Youth Theatre premiered in July at the Oval House
v Owen O’Neill and Dave Johns brilliant adaptation of THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION had its World Stage Premier at The Gaiety Theatre Dublin in May/June 2009.The show opened at The Wyndhams Theatre in the West End in August
v Evan Placey’s new play MOTHER OF HIM had a rehearsed reading at ATC as part of the Young Blood initiative, directed by Tessa Walker. He is currently working on the community play for Hampstead Theatre’s anniversary
